2. Backup
2.1 Backup Strategy
There is no explicit backup operation performed on the CSA. You can however upload the firmware to the Celiveo Enterprise database or save it to a USB flash drive.
The CSA firmware is typically saved to the Celiveo Enterprise database at the time of installation. You can also obtain a copy of the firmware from the Celiveo Portal (https://portal.celiveo.com/)
2.2 Backup Procedure
The firmware is provided as a single *.fw file. To upload the *.fw file to the Web Admin:
Launch the Web Admin on your browser and log in to the Web Admin.
At the main menu of Web Admin application, click .
In the list of printers, select the printers connected to the Celiveo Smart Appliances.
At the Printer menu, click . The Printer Settings page displays.
Under Celiveo Version, click [+]. The Add Celiveo Version popup displays.
Click Select files.
Select the *.fw file that contains the Operating System Image and Celiveo Embedded solution you want to upload and click Open.
Click Close and then click Save.
2.3 Access Permission
No explicit access rights are required to upload an *.fw file to the Web Admin.
3. Restore
3.1 When to Restore
The CSA is not responding. For example, if the light keeps blinking.
3.2 Restore Procedure (Using Web Admin)
To download the firmware from the Web Admin to the Celiveo Smart Appliance:
Launch the Web Admin on your browser and log in to the Web Admin.
At the main menu, click .
In the list of printers, select the printer connected to the CSA you want to restore.
At the Printer menu, click . The Operating System Image and Celiveo Embedded Solution are downloaded to the Celiveo Smart Appliance.
3.3 Restore Procedure (Using USB Flash Drive)
To push the Operating System Image and Celiveo Embedded Solution from the Web Admin to the Celiveo Smart Appliance:
Copy the *.fw file containing the Operating System Image and Celiveo Embedded Solution to a USB Flash Drive.
Switch off the Celiveo Smart Appliance.
Connect the USB flash drive to the Celiveo Smart Appliance.
Switch on the Celiveo Smart Appliance. The update begins automatically.
Once the update completes, the LED indicator on the CSA changes to a steady green light.
Remove the USB flash drive.
3.4 Access Permission
No explicit access rights are required to update the Celiveo Smart Appliance.
3.5 Verify Restore Operation
Verify if the Web Admin is able to synchronize the printer connected to the Celiveo Smart Device.
Verify that you can access the page CSAIP/status.xml from a web browser.
