How to restore?

1. Locations of Useful Data and Settings

The file locations specified in this section are relative to the default installation path (C:\Program Files (x86)\Celiveo\Track-GreenSaver).

File locations

Application Files

C:\Program Files (x86)\Celiveo\Track-GreenSaver

Tracking Files

C:\Program Files (x86)\Celiveo\Track-GreenSaver\XMLImportDirectory

Log Files

C:\Program Files  (x86)\Celiveo\Track-GreenSaver\Logs

 (contains all user,  printer and print job data)

2. Database

2.1 Backup Strategy

We recommend a weekly backup strategy for the Track-GreenSaver database.

2.2 Backup Procedure

The instructions in this section use SQL  Server Management Studio to back up databases to *.bak files. SQL Server  Management Studio is a free tool, which you can download from https://www.microsoft.com/en-sg/download/details.aspx?id=29062.  If you do not use SQL Server Management Studio, use these instructions  as a guideline to update your disaster recovery documentation.

To back up the PrintManager90 database:

  1. From the Start Menu, run SQL Server Management Studio.
  2. Connect to the Database Server hosting the database. 

  3. In the Object Explorer, expand the Databases node.
  4. Right-click PrintManager90. A menu is displayed.
  5. Click Tasks > Back Up. The Back Up Database dialog displays. 

  6. In the Destination section, click Add to specify the backup location.
  7. Click OK.

2.3 Access Permission

Should have dB Owner rights on the PrintManager90 database.


2.4 When to Restore

  • Database server crashed or cannot connect to the network and you wish to move the database to another server. 

    Note: The new server hostname must be the same as the server which crashed.

  • Database is corrupted.


3. Application Files

3.1 Backup Strategy

It is not required to back up the installed application files. Instead:

  • Keep a copy of the Celiveo 8 installer. 
    Unlike previous versions, Celiveo Enterprise 8 does not ship with a separate installer for Track-GreenSaver. Track-GreenSaver is included in the Celiveo 8 installer.
  • In case of a disaster, re-install Celiveo Enterprise and restore the Databases.

3.2 Backup Procedure

Obtain a copy of the Celiveo Enterprise installer from the Celiveo Portal (https://portal.celiveo.com/).


3.3 When to Restore

The Server hosting the Track-GreenSaver Installation has failed.

3.4 Restore Procedure

Re-install Celiveo 8 from the product installer (see Re-Installing Celiveo 8 for step-by-step instructions).

3.5 Verify Restore Operation

  • From the Web Admin, launch Reports and see if those are running.
  • Verify if Celiveo Track-GreenSaver services are running.
