Issue
Some HP futuresmart printers with firmware 5.3 can crash with an error 49.38.07 at intermitent times.
This issue doesn't happen on previous versions of the firmware.
What is happening
Any apps or solutions that register USB accessories using WorkPath or OXPd services are at increased risk of producing intermittent 49.38.07 errors on FutureSmart 5.3 if the (re-)registration of accessories fails. The root cause was discovered and is not found on prior 5.2.x, 4.x nor 3.x versions of FutureSmart firmware.

How to fix
Downgrade the printer firmware to a previous version or upgrade it to the next firmware update.
